# Terms of Service

Face Card AI (“Face Card”, “we”, “us”) runs this website and the Face Card app. Contact: [hello@facecardai.app](mailto:hello@facecardai.app). These terms apply to the Face Card app and to facecardai.app. By using either, you agree to them.

## 1\. What Face Card does

Face Card renders makeup looks and individual products on a photo of your face, shows where each product goes, and lists real products with the prices a store showed when we recorded them. A render is a preview: it is our estimate of how a product may look on you. Real results depend on how a product is applied, the light, and your skin on the day. Prices and availability belong to the retailers and can change. We do not sell the products we show, and we are not responsible for purchases you make from retailers.

## 2\. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding agreement.

## 3\. Your photos

-   Upload only photos of yourself, or of an adult who has agreed to it. Do not upload photos of children.
-   You keep every right to your photos and your renders. You give us permission to process a photo only to produce the render you asked for.
-   What happens to a photo, and how soon it is deleted, is set out in the [photo policy](https://facecardai.app/privacy#selfies).
-   You may use your renders for your own, non-commercial purposes, including sharing them.

## 4\. Acceptable use

Do not use Face Card to:

-   impersonate anyone, create deceptive images of a real person, or process a photo of someone without their consent;
-   upload unlawful, sexual or abusive content;
-   copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service or its API, or get around its limits;
-   resell or redistribute the service or its catalogue.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

## 5\. Accounts

You can start as a guest; the app creates an anonymous account on your device. You can sign in with Apple, Google or an emailed code to keep your looks across devices. You can delete your account at any time in the app or by writing to us, and everything tied to it is deleted.

## 6\. Subscriptions and payment

-   **Free.** Your first look is free, with no card.
-   **Face Card Pro.** US$29.99 a year, or US$4.99 a week. Where a free trial is offered, it is shown before you subscribe and converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
-   **Automatic renewal.** A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We will tell you in advance of any price change, and it applies from your next period.
-   **Cancelling.** You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
-   **Taxes.** Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added where it applies.

**Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.** Paddle’s [buyer terms](https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) apply to purchases made through Paddle.

If you subscribe inside the iOS app, the purchase is made through Apple and Apple’s terms apply: you manage and cancel it in your Apple ID settings, and refunds are handled by Apple.

## 7\. Refunds

## 8\. Our content

The app, the website, the looks, the catalogue and the rendering technology belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Face Card; they do not transfer any ownership.

## 9\. Not medical advice

Face Card is about how makeup looks. It is not medical or dermatological advice. Check a product’s ingredients for allergies before you buy or use it.

## 10\. Availability and changes

We work to keep Face Card available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable or make mistakes. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid feature, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

## 11\. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

## 12\. Ending these terms

You can stop using Face Card and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms; if we do so without cause, we will refund the unused part of any subscription.

## 13\. Law

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.

## 14\. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
