How Face Card works

Pick a look, take a selfie (or choose a photo) and Face Card paints the look onto your own face, usually in 10 to 30 seconds. Then follow it step by step, with every step placed on your face, the shades matched to your skin and each product at three prices.

My photo didn’t paint well

Face the camera straight on, with your whole face in the frame and nothing covering it.
Use soft, even light from in front of you; avoid a bright window behind you.
One face per photo. Glasses and heavy filters can confuse it.
A failed paint never uses up a look. Just try again with a new photo.

What happens to my photo

Your selfie is deleted on our server the moment it has been painted. The painted image and the map of your face are deleted within an hour; the app keeps its own copy on your phone. We never sell your data, use it for advertising, or train models on your photos. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your photo, your data or your account

Your photo and painted looks: in the app, open You, then Settings, then Photos & data, and delete them.
Your account: if you signed in, open You, then your account, then Delete account. Everything tied to it is deleted.
Or write to [email protected] and we will delete it for you.

Signing in is optional. It keeps your saved looks when you change phones. You can sign in with Apple or Google; with Apple you can hide your email address.

Subscriptions and refunds

Subscriptions bought in the app are handled by Apple. To manage or cancel one, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store purchases are granted by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Purchases on our website follow our Refund Policy.
